Halftime

Nikki and I are ready to fly home tomorrow. We've had quite a bit of house-livin' recently so hopefully we won't have any problems assimilating back into polite society for a few weeks.
This here is a saguaro cactus. They're all over here in AZ, but they are also protected. Chop one down and you could be facing a $20,000 fine or jail time. No bull. Amy said so. She used to be a cop and had to write some dude a fine for chopping one down in his yard.
Amy drove us to South Mountain, a great place to over look the massive valley in which sits the big and very brown city of Phoenix.

The next day we headed back to Phoenix for a little clubbin'.

It was a wild night. And the next day we rested. However, we made it up to the roof to catch the sunset.

Sunday was yet another treat. No trip to AZ is complete without going out to the desert to shoot guns.

After squeezing off several dozen rounds we made our way to the lake for beer and sandwiches.

Well, tomorrow we fly in to Detroit. It'll be good to be back on our native soil. To be honest, it's been a little hard to be festive without all the snow to put us in the right mood.
However, we'll do our best to bring back a little bit of this AZ warmth with us.
We'll keep things going while we take our three week hiatus from the Dod. She's all packed and ready to hibernate. Get a hold of us while we're home. We'll be there till Jan. 6
